Erection of foodstore at 439 Esplanade, Kirkcaldy
I refer to the above planning application and wish to confirm my support for this proposal on the basis of the following:
- The proposal will regenerate the Invertiel area;
- Any positive redevelopment can only be an improvement on an otherwise derelict site;
- This is an area long neglected and unattractive. There is a need for redevelopment;
- It will be good for the area;
- This will improve the area and create job opportunities;
- There is a current lack of supermarket provision serving south and south west Kirkcaldy area;
- There is nothing at this end of the town to serve a growing community of new houses and other facilities; and
- It will bring substantial economic, social and physical regeneration benefits to Kirkcaldy, including new job opportunities.
I would be grateful if the Council could take on board our support for this proposed development when considering a decision on the planning application.
